What Excel to PDF does
Turn a spreadsheet into a PDF. Sending an .xlsx invites the recipient to change it, and they will — a sorted column here, an accidental overwrite there — and then nobody knows which version is right. PDF freezes the figures at the moment you sent them, which is what a report or an invoice needs.

Limitations
- Each worksheet becomes a section with its own table; very wide sheets wrap cell text rather than shrinking the font, so column widths differ from Excel's print preview.
- Only cell values are carried, as Excel displays them. Charts, images, cell colours and borders from the workbook are not — the PDF is a clean, wrapped table of the data.
- Formulas are exported as their last saved values; a workbook that was never recalculated shows stale numbers.
Questions
Will my wide table fit on the page?
Columns are fitted to the page width. Very wide sheets get tight, so hiding columns the reader does not need before converting produces a much more readable result.
Do formulas appear in the PDF?
No — their results do. The PDF shows what the spreadsheet displays, which is exactly what a reader wants to see.
Are charts included?
No. The PDF is built from the cell values only, as a clean table where long text wraps instead of being cut off. Charts, images and cell colours are not carried over; for a sheet that must look exactly like Excel, use File › Export › PDF in Excel itself.
