What Word to JPG does
Turn Word pages into JPEG images. The reason is usually somewhere that will not accept a document at all: a social post, a chat window, a marketplace listing, or a slide where you want the page to appear exactly as laid out rather than pasted in as reflowing text.
When you'd use it
- A poster or flyer made in Word to post on social media
- A page of a document to show in a chat where files are blocked
- A preview image of a document for a web page
Formats and limits

What you get
3 pages, two tables, a logo in the headerThree JPGs at 144 dpi, each an exact render of a page —
logo, tables, fonts and margins as Word prints them. The document is rendered by LibreOffice on the server exactly as it would print, then each page is rasterised. Text is no longer selectable in the output, which is the point of an image.
Limitations
- Pages are rendered by LibreOffice; a document that relies on a font not installed on the server is rendered with a substitute, which can change line breaks.
- Tracked changes are rendered as accepted; comments are not shown.

Questions
How are pages rendered?
Content is converted to PDF internally, then rendered as images.
Can the text still be edited?
No. Each page becomes a picture, so nothing in it can be selected or changed. Keep the .docx as your editable copy.
What happens to a multi-page document?
Every page is rendered separately, producing one image per page in document order.
Is this good enough to print?
For a quick print, yes. For anything that matters, convert to PDF instead — PDF keeps text as text and prints far more sharply than a rasterised page.
