Slides are rendered by LibreOffice, so the output is what the deck looks like — not a reconstruction from its text.

Limitations

  • Slides are rendered by LibreOffice, not PowerPoint: fonts that are not installed on the server are substituted, and a few effects (3-D, some SmartArt) render differently.
  • Animations and transitions do not exist in an image; each slide shows its final state.
  • Hidden slides are exported too.

What happens to your file

Questions

JPG or PNG — which should I choose?

JPG for photos-heavy slides you will share in chat or email; PNG when the slide has text and sharp shapes you want pixel-perfect, or when you need transparency-free but lossless output.

Do animations and speaker notes come through?

No. Each image is the slide's final state; notes are not part of the slide.

JPG or PNG — which should I pick?

JPG for photographic slides and anywhere size matters (email, chat). PNG for slides with text, diagrams or flat colours, where JPEG artefacts around edges would show.

Are the images the same as PowerPoint's own export?

Close, not identical. Slides are rendered by LibreOffice on our server; fonts not installed there are substituted and a few effects differ. Check a text-heavy slide before sending a whole deck.

What resolution are the images?

Twice the slide's point size — about 1920 × 1080 for a standard 16:9 slide. That is sharp enough for screens and slide-sharing sites; for print, export a PDF instead.
