Terms of Service

1. Parties

These terms are an agreement between you and Arpit Anand, India ("DocsBolt", "we"), who operates www.docsbolt.com. A postal address for formal correspondence is available on request by email. By using the site you accept them. If you use DocsBolt for an organisation, you confirm you may accept on its behalf.

2. What DocsBolt is

DocsBolt has two parts. The generator turns a prompt, notes or an attached file into a PowerPoint, Word, Excel or PDF file using a large language model. The tools convert, compress, merge, split and edit existing documents; most of them run inside your browser and the rest run on our server. Everything is free and works without an account.

3. What you may upload and generate

You may only upload files and enter prompts that you have the right to use. You must not use DocsBolt to:

• process content that is illegal where you or we are located, or that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy;
• remove copy protection or security from a document you are not authorised to open (the Unlock PDF tool is for files whose password you know);
• generate material that is defamatory, harassing, or designed to deceive (for example forged records or impersonation);
• send automated traffic, scrape the site, or attempt to exceed the file-size and rate limits shown on each tool.

4. Your content and our output

You keep every right to the files you upload and the text you enter. We claim no ownership of them. Files processed on our server are deleted 30 minutes after processing, as described in the Privacy Policy; files processed in your browser never reach us at all.

Documents produced by the generator are yours to use, edit and distribute for any purpose, including commercially. Because they are produced by a language model from your input, you are responsible for checking facts, figures and citations before relying on them; we do not warrant that generated content is accurate, complete or original.

5. Templates

The generator can write into a .pptx or .docx template you upload. You are responsible for holding a licence to any template you upload.

The built-in templates offered inside the generator are licensed for use within the Service. Most were created by us. One, the "CU Template", is an institutional Chandigarh University template that the operator — a student of the university — is licensed to distribute for documents made with DocsBolt; it is labelled as such in the template picker. Using a built-in template does not transfer any rights in its design to you beyond the document you generate with it. If you believe a template infringes your rights, contact us and it will be withdrawn while we check.

6. Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your credentials private and tell us if you suspect misuse. We may close accounts that breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing us.

7. Availability and changes

DocsBolt is provided "as is". We aim for it to be available all the time, but we do not promise that, and we may change, limit or withdraw any tool or the generator without notice — for example when a third-party API we depend on changes.

8. Advertising

The site is supported by advertisements served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are labelled and placed outside the tool interfaces. We do not control which advertisers appear and are not party to any transaction between you and an advertiser.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from reliance on generated content, from a conversion that did not preserve part of a document, or from files you failed to keep a copy of. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Always keep your original file. The tools produce a new file and never modify the one on your device, but the safest assumption is that any conversion can lose something.

10. Intellectual property in the site

The DocsBolt name, the site design, the guides and the tool-page text are ours or licensed to us. You may link to any page. You may not copy the site's text or code to run a competing service.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of India, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer-protection law in your country gives you additional rights that cannot be overridden.
