1. Who operates DocsBolt

DocsBolt (www.docsbolt.com) is operated by Arpit Anand, India. A postal address for formal correspondence is available on request by email. Contact for anything in this policy: admin@docsbolt.com.

2. The short version

• Most tools run in your browser. The file is read and rewritten on your device and is never sent to us.
• The remaining tools and the AI generator use our server. The upload and the result are deleted 30 minutes after processing. The download link expires at the same time.
• We do not read your files, use them to train anything, or share them beyond the infrastructure listed in section 6.
• You do not need an account. If you create one, we store your email and a history of generated documents.

3. File tools

3.1 Tools that run in your browser

This tool runs entirely inside your browser. Your file is read and rewritten on your own device and is never sent to a DocsBolt server — you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works. Nothing about the file is logged. Each tool page states which kind it is, next to the upload box. 3.2 Tools that use our server

Your file is sent over an encrypted connection to a DocsBolt server, processed, and the result is held for you to download. Both the upload and the result are deleted 30 minutes after processing — the download link stops working at the same moment. Files are not read by people, used to train anything, or shared with third parties beyond the infrastructure that runs the service. Server processing runs on Google Cloud Run in the us-central1 region. Results are held in a MongoDB Atlas database (GridFS) and served through a signed link that only works for 30 minutes; a bare file identifier is not accepted. A scheduled task deletes every stored file, including its data blocks, once it is older than 30 minutes.

4. AI document generator

Your prompt and any attached source material are sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the document, and the finished file is held on a DocsBolt server for you to download. The stored file is deleted after 30 minutes; the download link expires at the same time. Prompts are not used to train models on our side.

If you attach a source file (PDF, Word or text) to the generator, its text is extracted inside your browser; only the extracted text is sent, not the file. If you upload a template (.pptx or .docx), the template is sent to our server so the document can be written into it, and it is deleted on the same 30 minutes schedule.

The optional "Preview" after generation opens the file in Microsoft Office Online. That service receives the signed, expiring link to your file only when you click Preview; downloading does not involve it.

5. Accounts

Signing in is optional and uses Google Sign-In or an email and password. We store your email address, display name and a hashed password where applicable. We do not keep a history of what you generated or converted against your account — files expire after 30 minutes and are not linked to you. Signing in only attaches your name to feedback you choose to send. You can delete your account by emailing us; we remove the record within 7 days.

7. Advertising and cookies

The site shows advertisements through Google AdSense, placed below the tools and never inside them. For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, no advertising cookie is set until you make a choice in the consent dialog (Google Funding Choices, an IAB TCF-registered consent platform); you can change that choice at any time from the link in the footer of the dialog or by clearing site data. We do not run third-party analytics scripts. Our own server records one event per tool run — which tool, whether it succeeded, how long it took, the output size, a truncated one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string. No file name, file content or prompt text is recorded. These events are used only to see which tools are used and which fail. Vercel and Google Cloud Run additionally keep standard request logs (IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp) for security and capacity, retained for up to 30 days.

8. Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to processing, by emailing admin@docsbolt.com. Because files are deleted after 30 minutes and most tools never upload anything, in most cases there is nothing to return. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority.

DocsBolt is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes and material changes are noted on the About page. The retention window and the third-party list are generated from the same source as the notices shown next to each tool, so they cannot disagree.
